Since I grew up in the land-locked state of Colorado I was a little inexperienced in this weather phenomena. As I drove to work in heavy rain I noticed that the main street was flooded and closed as the tide enhanced floodwaters. Soon I found myself trapped in a Wendy’s parking lot for 2 hours about 1 mile from the studio waiting for the tide and flood waters to recede. The important thing is that I remembered something very important: "Turn Around—Don’t Drown." Surprisingly enough this well-known saying is routed in a serious flash flood that occurred in Colorado’s history called the Big Thompson Flood.Hot or cold: Both, usually I want it to be hot when I’m cold and cold when I’m hot!Best advice you ever got: Always believe in yourself and never stop dreaming.Favorite karaoke bar tune: "Summer Nights" from the musical Grease.Ever share your name with a hurricane? Nothing beats dancing in the rain! The perfect day: The perfect day is a Colorado day in late spring. Mornings start sunny and warm. As the day heats up the cloud tops start pushing high into the atmosphere. Soon scattered thunderstorms cover the state illuminating the skies in amazing colors and dancing lights. After an intense down pour a dusting of hail is usually on the ground and a gorgeous rainbow stretches across the sky. As long as everyone is safe, thunderstorms are unbelievable.
